Rappahannock Times owner, Cee Cee Wells decided she wanted to have a Branding Session because Julie Hill of EVP POWER told her about Dorothye Broderson’s Branding Session. Those word of mouth referrals are the best way to grow your business. And I found, that I get the best clients from that type of marketing as well.
When I learned Cee Cee was the owner of the Rappahannock Times I immediately thought of her wearing a newspaper dress made from her publication. I love making each Branding session very unique and customized. I knew this would be a great conversation piece for Cee Cee and when I shared the idea with her, she was game. Now I needed to find someone to make the newspaper dress in 10 days. I reached out to LA Phipps, Fashion Stylist and she took on the challenge. LA did a great job pulling ideas and then collaborating wth Cee Cee. I love how LA did Cee Cee’s belt (Rapphannock Times banner) and made her a stiff collar that dressed up the newspaper dress!
When Cee Cee’s Branding session day came we were all giddy with excitement. We hadn’t done anything quite like this before and we didn’t know how the dress would play. As you can see, it all came out perfectly. LA made an adjustable waist and the stiff color vest gave the dress shape and style. It was impressive. Cee Cee said she is going to keep the dress in her storefront and display it for all to see.
