Families Process

I love capturing the natural bonds between family members. Those candid shots are special everyday moments of love and affection that are missed because we just don’t walk around with a camera all the time. Let me capture those moments with you! All family portraits are captured on location – be that at your home, a favorite park, downtown Richmond, VA or at one of my suggestions.

GETTING READY FOR YOUR FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

There is an available wardrobe stylist who can coordinate your outfits and compliment your home decor. It is important to chose outfits that compliments your family room colors if that is where you plan to hang your family portraits.

Be sure to measure your walls so I can make suggestions on the proper size of your family portraits. Keep in mind that 8×10 may sound large but it is the perfect desk size and is too small for a wall. Here are some things to keep in mind for a fun session –  bring natural props for your kids like their favorite stuffed animal and books. Do you have a cute red wagon that they like to pull each other around in or any other item that gives me a chance to just be kids? Do they like to play dress up? Bring their favorite costume. Let’s make this fun! Towards the end of the session, I will break out the bubbles which kids love to chase and catch. Always bring a change of clothes in case anyone falls and gets dirty. I promise to make your session fun for you and your family. I want your kids to enjoy being photographed.
