High School Senior Portraits are such an important milestone to capture and celebrate! It is a time when this young woman or man is transitioning every day to be more and more like an adult. There are a lot of emotions and uncertainties for the teenagers and their parents. Where will they go to college next year? Will they take time off in between? What summer job will help them get closer to their goals? You think of the senior year of high school full of lasts and a few firsts.
Today’s high school senior want portraits that reflect their true self they are and not a static school picture. This is also the last milestone of portraits before their wedding. These are important considerations.
Ellie first met with NeeChic at Fabrik in Carytown. Ellie loves white and selected two white dresses. She also selected a beautiful red dress and a green top with jeans. Ellie is from Indiana and was in town visiting her dad. He surprised her with a photo shoot and we quickly fit her into the schedule. I am also a Midwest girl and I was super excited to meet Ellie.
Ellie arrived the next day with her new clothes in tow and was a little nervous. She wasn’t sure what to expect and didn’t expect this to happen on her Richmond visit. Much to her credit, Elle settled right in and we were capturing amazing portraits right away. Ellie is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful on the inside and out. It was such a treat to capture her and show Ellie her beauty. It was a magical evening and I didn’t want it to end!
The Dream Team and I are all about empowering women to feel beautiful and confident. When you have amazing portraits of yourself and see what others see in you, it changes how you view yourself. Ellie is a talented young woman and will be off to college next year. I hope she can truly believe her beauty (both inside and out) thus increase her confidence in all areas of her life. The more confident she feels, the more power she has in directing her life and interacting with others. Ellie has a unique to gift to share with the world and I can’t wait to see wait to see what it is!
