Real World Examples for Incorporating Your Brand Colors into Your Next Photoshoot

Chances are good you’ve spent good money with an expert who’s helped you define your business brand. If so, you know which fonts, images, and colors define for the world exactly what your business does and who you are as the “face” of that business. In the branding world, these elements are called your “brand strand.” Having made that investment, it only makes sense that you’ll want to make sure you do everything you can to incorporate your brand strand into all of your visual content.

As a professional photographer specializing in branding photos, I work with my clients ahead of their shoots to ensure I’m clear about their brand standards, especially which colors are represented in their brand and how we can incorporate those colors into their photos.

This is super important because they use their final branded images in places where their brand is front and center (like on their website or for their business presence on social media). The most obvious choice for accomplishing this is in the client's clothing choices, but there are other, more subtle, and fun ways to ensure that your brand colors stand out in your branded photos.

Hopefully, this will give you some ideas for your next photoshoot. The biggest advice I can give you is to plan ahead, so you’re prepared. Make sure your photographer gives you resources and some planning time so you both know what to expect on the day of your shoot.
